Gristworks

Gristworks is a grain-by-grain shredding experiment. Every piece (tetrominoes, pentominoes, solid shapes and rendered objects like a rubber duck, a mug or a trophy) is built from thousands of tiny grains held together by bonds. Hooked star cutters bite them apart, lasers melt them into glowing sand, presses and gears crush them, glass shatters into shards, wood splits along its grain, and every crumb keeps falling as real granular sand that piles up, avalanches, pours through hourglasses and swirls in mixing drums. Seven machines run by themselves: Star Mill, Laser Foundry, Gear Cascade, Press Line, Saw Ladder, Twin Hourglass and Shredder Pit. Click to drop extra pieces, drag the droppers around, and tune conveyors and motors live. Sandbox mode lets you carve your own channels and build with 21 parts (shredders, saws, hammer mills, gears, crusher rollers, presses, lasers, conveyors, shuttle belts, bucket elevators, mixing drums, fans, pistons and more), then save your machines or share them as codes. Tip: press H to hide the panels for a full view. Best in landscape.
